About Novel Journeys

Novel Journeys are collections of randomly selected books sent off on random journeys. You may have found one – how exciting!

Here's how it works. We discretely leave books in various cities waiting for curious passers by to take an interest. Each book has a prominent label on the cover, shouting 'PICK ME UP and help me on my journey'.

A blurb on the back then tells each new foster owner what they need to do. Here's what it says...

I'm one of 10 travelling books left in various cities around the world in Spring 2007. I like to meet people and I love to travel. Please take me with you and read me. Once you've finished please leave me in a safe public place (I particularly like museums!) so someone else will pick me up. I don't mind if I go a short way or a long way. I just love to see new things.

All I ask is that you let my owner, Christiane Kubrick, know where I am. Please visit childwickbury-arts-fair.com and tell her where you found me, where you left me and if Iíve been good. It will stop her from worrying.

Oh, and while you're there you can find out about the wonderful Arts Fair that takes place at Childwickbury House in St Albans, England during one magical weekend each Summer.
